How to Print Custom Design T-Shirt for small printing business using Iron only?

tshirt printing companies near me

I started my own small shirt printing business 4 years ago, At first, I started printing resume, photo, ID and documents. And by watching some tutorials on Youtube online I saw instructions on how to print tshirt by using only iron online. And discovered that it's just simple. The good thing about this is that you can print anything you want to or custom design you want on the shirt.

The things you need are:

1. Pigment Ink - we will use this kind of ink, because it is waterproof unlike DYE ink

Note: be sure to purchase a pigment ink online.

What if your printer has a DYE ink?
Please see this tutorial on how to change it to PIGMENT INK

2. Transfer paper - This is where we print the design and stick on the shirt.

There are 2 kinds of transfer paper
 * DARK - for dark shirts such black, purple, green etc.
 * LIGHT - for White & light shirts.

There are lots on Shopee and Lazada, just check reviews so you'll purchase the legit one.

3. Iron - Any brand will do as long it's working. We will use it so that we can really stick the design on shirt.

4. Printer - will use it the print the design, for sure you know this. Lol

5. T shirt - any Cotton shirt, if possible.

How to print?

Print the design on the transfer paper, The good thing about this is you can print any design you want to. After printing on the transfer paper, peel the layer which where the design printed and then set aside.

Lay the shirt on a flat surface, it's better if you'll iron the shirt first so that its has a flat surface, so the design will be printed even on the shirt. When done, put the design on the shirt and put a bond paper on top of the design.

NOTE!! If you didn't put a bond paper and iron the design directly it will get burn.

Set the iron to 3 or 3 1/2, iron the design slowly so it'll really stick on the shirt. If all good, remove the bond paper slowly. If there are still part on the design didnt stick on shirt, just cover it again using bond paper and iron it.
