Some phone users love using Dark themes on their phone. But what if the application you use has a dark theme too? Facebook messenger release an update which is dark mode feature this end week of February 2019 which users can use Dark mode as their theme while using the app. But the problem few only know how to activate the new dark mode feature in messenger for ios and android. So i made this tutorial to make it simple to update or turn on the dark mode feature of the messenger application.

First you need to do is update your installed messenger app by just going to Playstore and search for messenger then update it.

After updating the app, open it and go to your groupchat/s or any whom you want to chat.

Change the 👍 Like icon into Moon. 🌛

After that, Send a moon to your chat mate (in groupchat or anyone)

After sending, Click the moon you sent. And you will notice that moon emojis will fall.

After that, There is a "You've found a Dark mode." notification will appear on the upper part. Just click the turn on in Settings.

After clicking, it will go to your profile and you just need to enable Dark mode.

And done!! You sucessfully did it. You can now enjoy using the messenger app in Dark mode esp. at night! It can also protect your eyes.
